Thriving Despite Rising Minimum Wages!

Embrace Change: Thrive, Don't Just Survive!

As minimum wages continue to rise, the care home and domiciliary care sectors face significant challenges and opportunities. It is essential for business owners to seek expert reviews of their operations to identify necessary changes that not only ensure compliance with new wage regulations but also enhance overall efficiency and service quality. By proactively adapting to these changes, care providers can position themselves to thrive in a competitive market while maintaining high standards of care for their residents and clients.

SUMMARY OF CASE HISTORY

Finding ways to survive in business when minimum wages rise, costs increase and income is not in line with inflation

HELP WANTED

To work out how to stay in business when minimum wages are increasing and a high number of staff are on minimum wages.

On top of that costs are rising and council payments are not increasing with inflation.

HELP RECEIVED

Began with a full financial review to understand what was currently happening. From this we could identify the immediate impact to an increase in minimum wages as well as the longer term financial impact.

The staff were reviewed to optimise how they worked efficiently, introducing relevant processes that were required.

Recommendations were made where the business could make changes to make savings whilst increasing productivity and efficiency.

RESULTS

The business owner was able to see the overall business from a different angle. When a professional with expertise reviews a business they are able to identify areas that require change as they can be objective as they are not involved in the business.

OUTCOME

The business was able to make immediate changes and longer term changes that meant they could remain in business. They had feared that there was no way they could pay the increased wages. We assisted a negotiation with the council and it was a win for everyone - business, staff, clients and council.

The business owner was so thankful that they had come to us for help, because they genuinely thought their business was doomed.
